Message & Report on BJP IT Cell,Mysore

Dear All,
I'am glad to let you know that BJP Karnataka IT Cell has successfully setup its first DISTRICT IT CELL at the Royal District of MYSORE. The BJP Mysore District IT Cell came into existence on 6th September 2009, Sunday at Mysore City in the presence of BJP leaders of Mysore district and leaders from BJP Karnataka IT Cell. Sri Venkata Raman has been appointed as the District Convener of BJP Mysore District IT Cell along with a team of two District Co-Conveners and eight District Executive Members. This team has already started working on the two high priority tasks of setting up a website (www.bjpmysore.org) for BJP Mysore District and also to induct several District Active Members and District Members for the IT Cell there. More details are attached in the report for your reference. A map of Karnataka State's Lok Sabha Seats won by various parties is also attached as we continue with our expansion plan of setting up District Level IT Cells in each of the 28 Parliamentary Constituencies in Karnataka.

ABOUT BJP KARNATAKA IT CELL& MYSORE IT CELL

v The Information Technology Cell (IT Cell) was constituted on November 15, 2008, with the approval of the Karnataka State BJP President Sri Sadananda Gowda to make an effective use of technology for the development of Party.

v Sri JanardhanaSwamy, Member of Parliament is the State IT Cell Convener reporting to the State President and National IT Cell Convener.

v Karnataka became the 17 th State to setup an IT Cell for BJP.

v Mysore is the second IT cell in Karnataka outside the Bangalore

OBJECTIVES

v Use of Information and Communication Technology as a tool to reach out to voters.

v Automate the party offices (up to district level).

v Attract IT professionals to the party.

v Advice the party and government on IT policy and e-governance matters.

v Deploy various IT projects which are already implemented by the BJP National IT Cell.

v Provide customized and focused solutions to the state BJP leadership which includes using internet as a platform to preach the party’s ideology and also to help the party to get the periodicals sent across to the policy makers throughout the country on relevant matters.

v Above all, to help BJP to build a strong and permanent base in Karnataka State.

v SMS services to send bulk messages to voters.

v Automated messages to voters with pre-recorded voice messages from the party leaders.

v Digital repository to upload and store data.

v Process automation, paperless office, elimination of physical storage records, and much more.

v Expansion of State IT cell units in various other districts in Karnataka.

v Indoor and outdoor projects.
